A genuine Ibiza legend, I was privileged* enough to share a few drinks with Alfredo at Bora-Bora after a particularly enjoyable Manumission Carry-On.

Shy and retiring he's not, but he's still a damned good DJ, even after 20 years at the forefront of the Ibiza club scene.

Personally, I think he's at his best when he's playing back-to-back with his son Jaime, but I'd never tell him that to his face, and I'd definitely never put it in print...

Oops! It's just that at Space's 2002 opening party, Alfredo and Jaime opened the Terrace together, and what a set they played!

If you catch Alfredo at Bora-Bora - not that difficult, he's there most Tuesdays after the Manumission Carry-On - buy him a DJ drink, and tell him you're English! Doesn't matter if you are or not, but that will get him started, and before you've got to the fourth round of drinks, you'll have heard this charming Argentine's views on London, Margaret Thatcher, music, and the size of his son's talent!
