               |  VENUES It can all be a bit overwhelming for the Ibiza virgin, not the scale or quantity of the clubs, just working out where it is you're going! For ease of reference, I've broken the clubs down into venues and parties - and by strange coincidence, I've also broken down myself in a few venues and parties! The venues listed are where I spend most of my clubbing hours in Ibiza, and as I've become more at home in each venue, I've experimented with more of the parties they have on offer. Except possibly with Space, make your decisions on where to go on the party, as the wrong night could put you off for life! Go to Privilege when it's quiet, and you'll leave none the wiser, go when Manumission's on and you'll leave gob-smacked! The first of these places I visited was Privilege, back in 1990 when it was still called Ku, but after that followed a ten-year hiatus, interrupted only by the opening of Angel's in 1993, and the only venue where you'd have found me was Anfora. All the venues have something unique to offer, whether it's the scale of Privilege, the terraces of Space or DC10, the views from El Divino, or the whole Amnesia experience, and all are worth visiting at least once. Over the past four years, I've become a regular at Amnesia and Space, at home in DC10, Privilege and Pacha, and part of the furniture at Bora-Bora. 2003 was supposed to be the year that I tried out unfamiliar venues such as Eden and Es Paradis, but work kept me busy until I was sacked at the end of August, and by then the lure of the closing parties kept my dance-card full until the end of the season. 2004 in turn was planned on being the year where I threw myself into clubbing full-time (seriously, I was only a part-time club bunny before now), but everything's on hold until the object of my affection is back to health, so in 2004 I'll be spending most of my summer in London... No, I didn't believe I would either, but apart from the Space, DC10 and La Troya opening parties, and DJ Oliver's birthday party at KM5, and Pacha, I've been a good boy so far!
My favourite venues remain Amnesia, Space and Bora-Bora, so maybe I'll see you there one day?
