AEROSOL

C/ de La Virgen 43, Ibiza 07800, Spain

Bit of a Farting Monkey when it comes to hanging onto its name, having built up the fabulous Aerosol brand name in 1999, it promptly changed it to Airosol (with an 'i') for Y2K. With little fanfare, 2001 saw the impromptu return to the original name, Aerosol (with an 'e'...).

The current name may be a step backwards, but the current line is far from retro. It's amazing what Guido, the designer and owner of Aerosol, can achieve with basic materials, but a lot of imagination, an eye for fine detail, creativity, talent, originality (and, admittedly, a large bottle of bleach).

Guido, Aerosol (Pic by Martin, 09/2001) Guido can often be found at his shop, chatting with customers, and performing delicate acts with a needle-and-thread.

The gear on sale is definitely designer, all in Aerosol's own label, and the styles change throughout the season. Prices are incredibly good compared to other designer stores.

The trousers, required clubwear in Ibiza, are a must-have for your big-night-out. T-shirts are always difficult to come by, as they represent a cheap souvenir of your holiday, so if you see one grab it! Also, for eye-catching action, Aerosol now has its own range of swimming-trunks. Perfect clubwear in Ibiza...

Try to keep your hands off the shop assistant, it might be Guido's gorgeous husband, Oscar, and you wouldn't want to upset the man who's about to sell you the outfit of your dreams.

Like most of the shops on the Virgen, Aerosol opens late. If you stop to try things on halfway through your night out, and you are not exactly sober, it can prove to be expensive...
