AGUAS BLANCAS

One of the most dramatic beaches to visit has to be Aguas Blancas on the east coast of the island...

Aguas Blancas (Pic by Martin, 04/2001) Named after its crashing waves, the barely accessible beach is difficult to reach even by car, but the long stretch of fine sand still manages to get packed during the height of the season. Despite this, it is always worth visiting for the amazing views to be had once you get there.

Considering its near-inaccesible location, it is no surprise that Aguas Blancas, the oldest of the island's two official nudist beaches, should also have become the island's first 'unofficial' gay beach!

Simon & Tago Mago (Pic by Martin, 10/2002)Parked off the coast of Aguas Blancas, and looking to all the world like Tracy Island, it is in fact the unlikely named Tago Mago that dominates the skyline. Aguas Blancas is a must-see stop off travelling round the island, and has two old-fashioned chriringuitos to refresh you at the end of the arduous journey to the beach!
