CAFÉ DEL MAR

C/ de Vara de Rey, Sant Antoni, Ibiza
www.cafedelmarmusic.com

A lot more than a bar or a café, this is worth visiting again and again for much more than just the coffee.

Everything you've heard about the legendary sunset, as viewed from Café del Mar,Simon, Café del Mar (Pic by Martin, 10/2002) and its neighbours Mambo and Savannah, and near-neighbors Kanya and the brand-new Coastline (where Robbie lives), is true.

It is the most chilled-out Ibiza experience available, and though there are plenty of beautiful sunsets from many locations on Ibiza, few can match the ambience of Café del Mar, with DJs timing to perfection the choice of tunes, as the sun slowly sets behind the towering islets to the west of San An bay... Get there by 7pm or earlier, if you want a seat in the café itself (otherwise sit out on the rocks and enjoy the view), and quaff a few drinks, or the odd carajillo or two. Buses run to San An from Ibiza Town every half-hour, and it takes about ten minutes to get to Café del Mar from the bus station.

Martin, Café del Mar (Pic by Simon, 10/2002) Go with friends, or take someone you love, Café del Mar is very mixed with all ages and sexualities and, though your suitcase will end up heavier from Café del Mar albums by the time you finally leave the island, the experience will live with you longer than your liver.
