 STUDIO C/ de La Virgen 4 'Studio' is set right in the middle of the gay scene, but still provides one of the most relaxing settings for an evening meal. John and David have spent most of the winter preparing their second-floor terrace and bar, for opening in time for the summer season, (which summer, is a little bit of a mystery) and look set for another successful year. This gay-run business attracts customers from across the island and has become very popular, if not over-run with the 'in crowd' from the straight club scene in the summer months. It still retains a loyal following of local and regular gay customers all year round. If you are visiting this Summer, BOOK A TABLE IN ADVANCE. The restaurant enjoys a great central location, with a comfortable interior that is busy during the winter/low season when it is not too hot, and a large terrace on the Plaça de Sa Drassaneta (for which bookings are recommended throughout the summer). John, who looks after front of house is a particularly good giggle, and always good for a quick one (chupito), and knows how to show a boy a good time up a chimney. Studio has daily specials, and a good-value set-menu.

David maintains a consistently high standard in the kitchen, and is introducing a new menu for the summer (which summer?). With a bit of luck this may encourage the rest of the island to do likewise.
